Took this picture...wow...almost exactly a year ago, with my old film camera, at camp the beginning of my senior year. I never really figured out what to do with it until the *christians wallpaper contest (for which I am very nearly late anyway) spurred me on to getting it done. Oh well, I think I'm mostly happy with it, anyway.

For the curious, I took this pretty early in the morning--I remember I got up around six, before the sun rose, and I was drinking my morning mug of Tang (instead of coffee, y'know) by the window in my cabin, and I noticed all this gorgeous mist hanging over the lake. I got through my shower as quickly as I could and went outside with my camera; by the time I got out, the sun had risen, but the mist hadn't burned off yet. Here, I used my self-timer and stuck the camera on a small rise at the bank of the lake while I stood in what probably turned into absolute muck later in the day. At that point, the edge of the lake was still basically frozen, and it was--thankfully--hard enough for me to stand on it.
